Album Notes

Billboard magazine of the new CD, " On this well-crafted album, the trio remind everyone of the musical magic that occurs when great songs, skilled production, and a stunning voice unite." The review also went on to state, "In a perfect world where exceptional songs and great performances triumph over music biz machinery, this album would be multi-platinum."

When you here the rich three-part harmonies driven by Kathie Baillie's powerful, heart- stopping vocals, Michael Bonagura's soaring guitar and Alan LeBoeuf's solid bass line, the music of Baillie And The Boys will be forever inscribed on your mind and in your heart.

Kathie and Michael met in 1973 while Michael was attending the University of Delaware. A friend had set them up on a blind date promising that the two would "make beautiful music together." Within a few months they were literally making music together in clubs and coffeehouses up and down the Atlantic coast. The two became a trio with the addition of Alan LeBoeuf, Michael's childhood friend. In 1981, Kathie and Michael were married, and two years later, they landed in Nashville, gaining recognition first as songwriters and then as session singers. They did a live audition for RCA Records and their first album was recorded and released in a matter of months.

Kathie Baillie - Vocals and acoustic guitar.
Michael Bonagura - Vocals, electric and acoustic guitars.
Alan LeBoeuf - Vocals and bass guitar

Fantastic CD. I bought the CD 2 weeks ago in Charlotte, MI., when I saw Kathie and crew live. What a fantastic show they put on. Loved it.

WARNING: Take Prozac before listening to this CD!

No sound is better to the ears than Kathie Baillie's singing! She has a voice that is so pure and haunting. Haunting is the word I would use in describing this CD. Every single one of these songs are wonderful...by themselves. However, when you put them all into one collection, it becomes very depressing to listen to. You truly have to be in the right mood to listen to this CD all the way through. I give this CD 4 stars based on the quality of each individual song, and not on the collection as a whole. (A more upbeat song now and again wouldn't hurt!) Nevertheless, this is a great band, and I look forward to their next outing! (I have ALL of their previous recordings.)
