Album Notes

Born November 15, 1986, Bakari(known better as David Bakari Daniels) didn't always see music as a means to expressing talent. Coming from a musical family, David was always surrounded by the sights and sounds of many different genres, and styles of music, however shy around the microphone, didn't begin to sing until he was age 13, in his church choir. After building his confidence there as he began high school, he started to sing in groups of all sorts. David was born in Newark, New Jersey, lived in St. Louis, MO most of his life, and now is currently in Huntsville, Alabama after short stays in New York and California as well, so he has been exposed to many different types of music and audiences. After high school, David took a break from music, never really pursuing it seriously until the dawn of the internet and You Tube. David created an account under the name STLsmooth, and in a short amount of time began to receive positive feedback for his music. Bakari Music (Bakari is his middle - Swahili for "Man Of Noble Promise") was formed and he is now working diligently while getting attention from the likes of Jermaine Dupri, Monica, and many others. Stay tuned to see what develops for STLsmooth!!!! Bakari's debut public release displays his multi-talented skills both behind and in front of the microphone. Producing, writing, and performing each song proves that. For a mere 5 dollars, you WON'T be disappointed with this one and you'll be glad you stopped for a listen!
