On the CD 'Het Verlangen' (desire) the Dutch composer and self taught pianist Johan Bakker touches the piano in a relaxed way, searches the keys in a melancholy and melodic way, and challenges the piano without sheet music.
This is piano music with a high level of sensitivity.

Johan about his music:
'Get teached how to play the piano takes a lot of energy. Playing from sheet music demands attention all the time. This is not the way I can do it and I never did. I do it my way in creating sensitivity.
Just listen to the songs. This is music for sultry summer evenings, emotional people, dreamers and people searching for a nice atmosphere. So, it is for you'.
'..I listened many samples of different artists but all of them I liked Het Verlangen a lot. Great music..'.
(S. Ventrapragada, Dracut).
His second solo album: Whisperkiss. His third solo album Concert for Civilization is for sale now !

This one, however, carried me through a very difficult time. You have to "feel" this man's piano.
