Peter is a father, a PhD student, and a composer. He spends his days reading philosophy and theology books, writing his dissertation, meditating while playing piano, and being present to his wife and two daughters. He and his family live in northern Canada in the midst of a large pine forest.
Peter writes: "We have been gifted with many outstanding graces and blessings in our time through the profound work by John Paul II entitled "Theology of the Body". This book has already been instrumental in setting into motion a beautiful renewal of thinking regarding marriage, family, and what it means to be a person. These powerful writings have influenced my entire life: my marriage, my family life, my thoughts, and yes, my music.
While composing on the piano, I often found myself reflecting on the themes and ideas found in Theology of the Body and I became inspired to express these through music. "Resonance of the Gift: Musical Reflections on Theology of the Body" is the fruit of much love, effort, and dedication. This is music to help renew our culture for life. It is my hope that in experiencing this music you may become inspired and enlivened by the grandeur and beauty of human love."
Album includes bonus reflections from “Theology of the Body” for each song.
Reviews
“The music of your new CD is superb—very moving, deep, passionate. This CD is a real consolation—soul music!”
-Michael D. O’Brien, author, painter
I “want to compliment you on a very beautiful CD...We listen to it frequently. I especially love the piece about Adam's joy at the creation of Eve. This is a stunningly lovely collection—and a great tool for evangelization, too! People can deepen their appreciation of the Theology of the Body while listening to soul-satisfying music.”
Christine Schintgen, D.Phil., Barry's Bay, Canada
