Joe Chiofalo started playing in cover bands like every other musician. At the age of 18 he started recording his originals for real. After a few years of demos and even more bands, he got the gig playing keyboards for the classic rockers "The Saints ". After two records and touring both Europe and Australia, he got the gig playing accordion with "Mary Lee's Corvette", a New York based band.
Joe hooked up with Stephen Butler of "Smash Palace" while working with MLC. They both agreed that Steve would produce and play on Orange & Black. Steve brought in some old friends like Fran Smith Jr of "the Hooters" to play bass, and studio drummer Greg Didonato on drums. Joe asked his pal Aaron Brooks to take a few weekends out of his schedule playing drums with "Moby" to lay down a few tracks, and soon O&B was on its way.
During the summer of '06 the boys recorded at Steve's studio in New Jersey and by years end Joe was looking for a label to get it out. Steve gave Art Herman of Zip Records a call, and soon Baldwin Drive was the newest member of the Zip family.
Joe also writes for TV and radio, and is a major music contributer to the Howard Stern Show. Known as Joey Pajamas, his parodies and original song bits are still being played on Sirius satellite radio daily, with new ones always on the way.
