Album Notes

Ian Ballantine is considered one of the finest jazz vibraphone players in the world, as well as playing piano and flute. Based in London England his discography includes jazz from smooth solo virtuoso playing, to duo's, trio's with some of Britain's outstanding musicians, playing standards/jazz Standards, to Fusion with the Ballantine/Shaw Band and Latin American with Ian's band Semuta, playing great originals. He has also been extensively involved in music education teaching classical and pop as well as jazz to a wide range of students. The Album 'URNIOC TOO' is an ideal compliment to the previous album from the Ballantine Shaw Band 'UNIOC PIXL' It features the compositions of co-leader Kenny Shaw a guitarist who has worked with musicians as diverse as Maynard Ferguson, Elton John and Sting. This is another must have album in the jazz fusion latin style.
