Album Notes

SURF - METAL POP! BALLISTICO IS... Buck Silverspur aka: El Diablo - Lead Guitar & Vocals D-Rock - Drums & Percussion Ton Def - Rythym Chucky Derwint - Bass Prduced by Ron Eglit & Ballistico Recorded at Hindu Arts Studios-Huntington Beach, CA & at Bucktan Studios, Lake Forest, CA Ballistico originated and currently resides in Orange County, California. Their distinct sound is derived from surf music legends like Dick Dale, and metal bands like Pantera. At the same time, Ballistico's music on "Welcome to the Western Carpet World," can be a bit abstract and artsy. One critic once described Ballistico's music as "Frank Zappa on the Beach." Two members of the band have a side project called Pinkly Smooth, also on the Bucktan record label. In Pinkly Smooth Buck Silverspur is the bassist (El Diablo), and D-Rock is the drummer (Super Loop). Unfortunately, in November of 2004, a terrible surfing accident turned all the members of Ballistico into freaks. Ashamed to show their faces to their fans at shows, they devised masks for their terrible disfigured faces. As they create new music, and gain fame and slight fortune, they are saving up funds for some plastic surgery to regain their angelic faces.
