Album Notes

Ballyrag is a rarity on the streets of Los Angeles: a 3 and a half piece rock band (singer/guitarist Raif, drummer Paul, and bassist Dan who plays keyboards on an instrument called 'The Thing' which allows him to play bass and keys with one hand each.) Ballyrag draws crowds with their danceably jazzy funk on the sidewalks of LA's most popular hangouts: the Venice Boardwalk, the Santa Monica Pier and the Promenade. The word is getting out and Ballyrag's club dates are growing more and more crowded.

"Ballyrag sports well-oiled musicianship that never tries too hard, all topped with wry, winsome lyrics." -- Cosmik Debris Magazine

"Raif leads with a raspy croon and an ideal textured lyrical fusion of poetic verse and wit. Dan's arrangements are timeless, original, head-bob worthy and scenic. Paul's consistently rhythmic drum work enable Ballyrag's sonic journeys. Make room for an innovative assortment of summery and fantastically twisted commercial grooves." -- Spunout Central (Featured underground artist)

"[Since Raif] has lived everywhere from Miami to Rome, it's easy to see where Ballyrag gets its eclectic style." -- The Daily Bruin
