Baluchon is the coming together of a violonist, Anik Paquet and her musicians partners. Together, they pay tribute to a variety of musical traditions that they revisit and revamp while remaining tuned to their authentic styles. With a mixture of songs and traditional airs from New England, Ireland, Acadia and Quebec as well as spellbinding original compositions, these sound wizards join together in an electrifying performance of music that sends the listener on a journey to the roots of the music. Baluchon is where modern and traditional sounds – violin & guitar (Peter Senn) but also hammer dulcimer, flute, accordion, feet stamping, piano and voice – blend together in carefully worked out arrangements.

Since its inception in 2005, Baluchon has performed concerts, put on dancing parties, and organized corporate and private events in Canada and the United States.

C'est le témoignage touchant d'un voyage au cœur de traditions musicales renouvelées mais respectant tout à la fois leur authenticité. Depuis les débuts du groupe en 2005, Baluchon s'est produit en spectacles, en animations de veillées de danse et en événements corporatifs et privés tant au Canada qu'aux Etats-Unis.
