Album Notes

Beverley McKeen is a compelling songwriter and a proficient guitar picker. Her superb lyrics span many moods and experiences. McKeen tells stories with feeling and honesty. A West Coast following urges her to continue to write songs, play festivals, intimate settings and concert venues. She is a solo performer as well as a recognized band leader who hosts 'jams' supporting songwriters and emerging artists. Her voice is described as contralto, beautiful, sensual and sweet. Her musical education started when she was 7 years old, on the stool of her mother's piano. Classically trained, with a great ear, she has put her thoughts to music and lyrics. A published poet, McKeen was strongly supported by other musicians to record her first CD. A second CD is currently being recorded on Vancouver Island, where she lives and writes. McKeen's other big passion is downhill skiing. She is an expert on the slopes and hard to catch!!
