Album Notes

The Band of Brothers present their second CD - featuring the songwriting and musicanship that have made them a favorite of American Roots Music fans around the world! Once again produced by Jesse Sprinkle (Demon Hunter, Poor Old Lu) each of the seventeen songs is given a brilliant musical setting, utilizing elements of bluegrass, folk, ragtime, country blues and gospel.

From review by Justin Wright at The Phantom Tollbooth: "Crisp, clean, pure, America. When I heard The Band of Brothers had a new CD out, I jumped at the chance to take a listen to it. Not only are these guys great musicians, but they are some of the greatest storytellers you'll ever hear. The opening song “Clayton and Harlow” tells the story of two best friends who panhandle together and take care of each other. They really know how to boil it down to the real essence of things. Musically, the only thing fancy you'll get here is the picking. No special effects. No looping or sampling. Just pure picking and grinning. Sit back and relax. Imagine yourself sitting on the porch with a glass of fresh lemonade or iced tea, surrounded by friends and family picking out the songs of life."

From review at Christian Rockers On-Line: "...features some of the crispest and most precise instrumentation that I've heard. All the stringed instruments come to life and are near flawless...reminds me of a hot summer night sitting out on the back porch sipping iced tea with someone playing the guitar - while family and friends share all that life has to offer."
