Album Notes

Coming together in the spring of 1998, Baneful Storm is a hard rocking band from Los Angeles, CA, playing everything from mean blues to rock n' roll. Baneful Storm's line up consists of Frank Aguiniga on Vocals, Joe Herrera on guitar, Carlos Reveles on bass, and Donald "Loose Cannon" Coccellato on drums. Their original material contains an excellent deep guitar oriented blues sound while still delivering that good ol' rock n' roll feeling.

Baneful Storm have gone into a studio to work on their debut CD release "DOWN WITH THE BLUES." They've continued to work together as they bring forth one of the best rock n' roll shows around.

Joe's whailing guitar riffs and screaming leads along with COZ & The Cannon's powerful rythm section make a great combination while Frank's rough n' rowdy vocals allow you to feel the passion in each song. Playing mainly originals but also jamming on songs from Clapton, Credence, the late Hendrix & SRV, their style has gotten bigger & better every show. From thier slower blues jams to the hard rockin' faster paced songs, Baneful Storm delivers a powerful and exceptional show you won't soon forget.

I discovered this band about 2 years ago and i hope they are still around...Please get a myspace Baneful Storm!!!... The production is very tight, they managed to keep the raw sound powerful which is important for the Jazz/Rock/Blues sound. The Guitar is excellent as an offset lead to the voice or as a solo instrument, reminding you of alot of classic licks from say SRV and even a little Vai sound while still throwing in some new and interesting. The voice is strong, hits all the notes and more! Perfect arrangement by the whole band. Standout Tracks:All Mixed Up, End of a Rainbow You will LOVE baneful storm if you have any time for Stevie Ray Vaughan. To me they are like a modern up tempo and more diverse SRV&DT sound. Just Fantastic
