Album Notes

THE SWEET SONGS OF DECAY

WHY BUY?
Because what you’re buying are 12 songs to be played in sequence and without pause, in the garden or on the concrete. Summer songs for Winter shut-ins. Spring anthems for Autumn explorers. Insects and outfits, bunny suits and tiger masks. Birds in the air and bones in the ground. A melodious pop soundtrack for the inevitable journey through life, love, death, decay and all points beyond. You can’t put a price on that…..although we have -$9.99!!!

WHY BANGO?
Because he made it, and let’s be honest, if you made it he’d be the first one to buy it from you

WHY BUGS?
Because there’s something beautiful in everything that crawls

WHY NOW?
Because you’re already here and as sure as the turning of the earth, you may never be again.

WHY IS FRANK SITTING WITH A GIANT RABBIT?

Bango just rules

One of the great songwriters of New York or any big-ass city. Sincere jokes, simple complexity. For people who like the good stuff. Bless him.

Wow! *sigh*
author: Gail
I have so much to say about Sweet Songs of Decay and Frank in general but there just aren't enough words in any dictionary ANYWHERE to describe exactly what that is. In trying, I'll go with a few like stunning, whimsical, childlike, tender, gorgeous, uplifting, heartbreaking, stirring, blissful and moving. Frank Bango is pure joy and so is this record.

If you don't go around humming these songs after the first listen, your brain is broken. Please do not make me wait another five years for the next Bango album.
