Album Notes

Barb Heintzelman grew up in the Land of Lincoln known as Illinois. She began singing at a very early age and her favorite song was "Away In a Manger". She could convince the minister's wife ( who also taught Sunday School), Mrs. Kaiser, to play it any time of the year. Honing her skills at an early age, Barb became an avid snapper and whistler. Barb began piano lessons in elementary school with her more than patient teacher, Marilyn Britten. Guitar took her heart in Junior High, and Barb began playing in 1977. Throughout Senior High and College, she joined church and school choirs. Barb and Salo joined forces in 2003 and began performing around Fresno, CA and writing their original material. Barb is a Certified Massage Therapist, Reiki Master and Myofascial Release Practitioner. Her office is in the Tower District in Fresno, CA (which she shares with Salo a Chiropractor). Barb and Salo are proud mom's of two dogs and four cats.

Dr. Salo Stanley, D.C. is a practicing Chiropractor, sound therapist, musician, psychic, artist, paranormal researcher, professional speaker on radio and TV. After a crystal therapy treatment in 1992, a Spiritual awakening occurred. Great gifts of music and sound healing were awoken. She utilizes sound and music in her healing practice in Fresno, CA. On this CD Salo Plays the Cajon, shaker, bass (White Girl), sticks, and Native American Flute. A few songs are done with humor. "Bullet Bra Betty" is a true story, as well as "White Girl". Barb's voice shines on the classic "Blue Skies" with some cool whistling. Barb also sings Shenandoah with such heartfelt emotion. The gospels on this CD make you want to get up and dance with Barb's big Mama style singing. A spiritual side is shown with Salo performing a solo with the Native American Flute on the song "Summer Thunder". The thunder on this song was recorded during a thunder storm in Fresno in July 2011.

Roger Perry recorded and mixed this cd as well as instrumentals.

Barb and Salo have put together a great CD. Each song displays their unique talents and individuality. Barb's versatile singing ability is evident with each of the songs they have produced and chosen for this album. Salo's flute playing adds another dimension to many of the musical pieces. The complete CD makes for a fun and toe tapping good time. I recommend that you give this CD a whirl.
