Album Notes

This digital only CD, recorded by vocalist Barbara Calderaro, is the music soundtrack for the new ebook release of 'At Last', written by Romance novelist Julie Ortolon. While writing 'At Last', Julie became friends with Barbara who happens to sing the kind of music Julie wanted her heroine to sing: American standards like Unforgettable, Them There Eyes, and Sunday Kind of Love. Going to hear Barbara sing inspired many of Julie's song choices for several scenes. Howard T. Levine, who plays guitar on the CD, wrote some brilliant arrangements to give the old standards a fresh new sound. That, combined with Barbara’s amazing voice, makes for a wonderful collection of romantic songs. The new digital CD has a cover that coordinates with the ebook cover and includes the eight songs that are specific to Julie's story. Rather than a photo of Barbara, we opted for an image that looks like the heroine in the book, Riley Stone, the sexy singer who goes toe-to-toe with a straight-laced lawyer to save a historic dance hall in Texas.
