A fabulous CD on all levels
This cd offers it all. It is lyrically and musically wonderful, moving easily from sincere, reflective songs to lighter, more spirited tunes. The voices of Jeff and Sarah compliment each other beautifully in turns, making this one of the purest, most enjoyable cds I've spent time with. You won't be disappointed.

Expect more great songs, superb arrangements and production, and expert, tasteful picking in this sophomore project from this young husband-and-wife songwriting team based at the foot of the Smoky Mountains in Walland, Tenn. They sing tales of the simple joys of home life and love, and the despair of prison, drink and murder in this collection of straight-ahead bluegrass, traditional country and folk.

You'll want to keep it in your disc player!
This CD is amazing! It has stayed in my disc player since I got it! Jeff and Sarah have created yet another wonderful display of honest, interesting, and creative music.

A most touching cd...close to the heart of it all.
My son wanted this CD because of a song on it about a son's love for his dad. Not only did we love that song but the whole CD is sensational. It's very moving and touches our hearts in a way that cannot be explained. Keep up the good work. I'm sure we will be ordering more.

Barb Hollow Sessions
This recording has a great, front porch feel, that should appeal to anyone who loves bluegrass and "old timey" American music. The songwriting is innovative while always sounding traditional: for example, we've all heard prison songs, but how many times have you heard one about being afraid to get out of prison? It's good to know that there are people like Jeff and Sarah out there, making music this good without a lot of fanfare.

As Good as It Gets
Jeff and Sarah are great performers and even better songwriters. Anyone who misses listening to their albums (Dog Years and Barb Hollow Sessions) are missing some of the best songs around. They paint a vivid picture with each song, reminiscent of the talent displayed by the late Jim Croce. If you buy one of these cd's, you'll want the other one also. Hopefully we'll see a third one soon.

Exciting! Like Christmas morning for the soul.
This album is true representation of Jeff and Sarah's style. A no comprimise approach to their music. This album is filled with textures to open the hearts and ears of listeners of all ages. This album will evoke the life in which we all live, facing lifes hills and valley's.For sultry vocals, wonderful musicians, and song writing at its best, this is a must have for your music collection.

Wonderful music, pure and simple
This album is a joy. It's good, beautiful, well-observed, honest music. Like much of the best music, it's unclassifiable, inhabiting the intersection of country, folk, bluegrass, Appalachian mountain music and Americana. The voices are gorgeous and the playing just great. Memorable...

A sound that is "Jeff and Sarah"
I find these songs waking me up at night, with the melodies from "Love can do a lot", "Start over", and "Quiet me" alternating in a dance within my subconscience.

The vocal work, harmonic phrasing and melodies are well thought out and seamless. The authentic and heartfelt lyrics are genuine and sincere. Definitely in my rotation of albums for a long while to come.

Crafted with Love... Songs that will make you laugh and cry
I still remember the first time I heard Jeff & Sarah play together... Not a country, folk or bluegrass fan I was shocked at the power their music had over me. Their sorrowful, sometimes whitty and well blended harmonies grabbed hold of my soul and took me back to my roots. Barb Hollow Sessions has been crafted with just as much love. I can't think of too many artists that can bring a chuckle to my belly or tear to my eye the way Jeff and Sarah can.
