Bard Sherman has been performing on piano for more than forty years. His influences include classical, Jazz, R&B, and Gospel. His music includes mostly originals and a few revised hymns. Bard has been playing with drummer Henry Burns for more than thirty years. Guitarist Dale Barrett is a recent addition to the group, although he has been playing music with both Bard and Henry since the 1970’s.
The focus of the Bard Sherman and his band is to share the Gospel message of hope through music. When interviewed by the Monterey County Weekly newspaper, Bard said, "My musical style is very eclectic: turn-of-the-century, classical, jazz...But the lyrics are what makes it gospel."
Bard and his band have played for a variety of audiences at places too numerous to mention throughout California and even in Europe. They have played big events in front of thousands of people, such as at Spirit West Coast in Laguna Seca,CA. They have played smaller events for hundreds of people such as at the Carmel Valley Gospel Festival in Carmel Valley, CA.
Other performances include various churches, such as Seaside’s Victory Temple, the Christian Worship Center in Sacramento, and Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto.
Bard and his band have played several coffee houses too, such as Marina's "Higher Ground" and San Jose’s “Koinonia” who said,
“The incredible Bard Sherman and his band…If you've never seen Bard, make a point to come ... While you're at it, check out his "Live at Koinonia CD"!”
Very cool! Truly Bard Sherman and his band are very talented and experienced veteran musicians appropriate for all ages. A must see!

Rev City Review

A very well recorded project. This music takes you places that many artists have yet to discover. The playing between all instruments is great and there are plenty of twists and turns that keep the music fresh and cutting edge. These guys are the real deal. I loved the power and subtleties throughout. I was completely swept away by the Piano solo tracks in particular. Track 7 through 10 alone are well worth the price of admission. Great job guys!
