The Brobdingnagian Bards (pronounced brAHb'ding-näg-EE-en) are The Original Celtic Renaissance. They perform a unique style of Celtic folk music that they like to call "a Renaissance in Celtic music". Ask their fans though, and they'll tell you the music is just plain "fun!" With six studio albums completed in just five years, combined with ten other compilations, singles and EPs, they've been called one of the most-productive Celtic groups around. But Andrew and Marc just love playing the music.

"We had planned on having a string quartet at our wedding. While looking on the web for groups, we ran across The Bards. We immediately called Karen's dad, since he was footing the bill, and played Tolkien over the phone. It was an instant hit and we later chose it as the solo for our wedding ceremony. We decided to be a little different and use Maids in the Meadow for the recessional. It was wonderful!"

    I found this site by chance, as i was searching for tunes to play at my medieval wedding. I love them all,My Irish Valentine is perfect as my husband to be is irish. I thought health to the company was perfect too for our meal.My daughter has also fell in love with the tunes and has helped me pick one for our vows to play as background music.

    This CD by the Brobdingnagian Bards is absolutely perfect for my July 2nd wedding. My fiance and I are both in our early 60's and this is a second marriage for each of us. (Each of us was married for over 30 years the first time, his ending in death and mine in divorce.     I love the CD. Frankly I just stumbled on their website a couple of months ago, looking for something new as a celtic music lover. Since then I guess I sort of collected all their CD's still available. And I admit: I am not dissapointed. I can advice them to everybody that loves traditional music, but is sort of tired of hearing it copied all the time in the same way. These guys give it a nice, unique twist of it's own.

I've been sharing this CD with friends, family, and complete strangers since I received it in the mail. Marc Gunn was even nice enough to email me. This CD, I would mail to all heads of state around the world in hopes of promoting peace and celtic festivals.

    A first time wedding at ages 54,55 demanded something different in music and this cd was the perfect fit. The instrumentals allowed me to pick and choose which ones to use as a prelude, recessional, etc. I didnt quite think the vocals for the frog kiss was quite what I wanted for a vocal solo ...something a little more love song would have been a nice touch.

    I finally got around to buying the wedding C.D. and I have to say it is absolutely AWESOME!!!! I thought I was swept away by MOME but Celtic Wedding puts me in a trance like no other. Yes, some of the songs are repeated on other albums but they fit well with the other songs on the c.d. too. Both harp and recorder are AMAZING. Thank you for creating such BEAUTIFUL,, soul moving songs that I would love to have played at my wedding someday.
