Album Notes

Bonnie Barnard is a singer-songwriter-musician from Texas
who came in quietly through the back door, quite
unannounced, with the release of her second CD, "These Reasons". No big record company to back her; just a small loyal following and a word of mouth that has allowed this
brilliant little record to find its wings and soar.

"These Reasons" is a rootsy Americana folk/rock record filled with the passionate tales of a shy girl from Texas, blessed with a gift for storytelling and a love of trains, travelling and the musical folklore of her heroes, Woody Guthrie, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen.

Dylanesque in her style, Barnard's beautiful and haunting voice has drawn comparisons to Natalie Merchant, Stevie Nicks and Lucinda Williams. Her voice and lyrics will charm you and take you on a ride that never disappoints and only leaves you wanting to here more.

"These Reasons" is a powerful collection of songs that delivers. It draws the listener in with each song, never faltering; providing both catchy folk-pop melodies and wonderfully intelligent lyrics.

Bonnie Barnard is a winner of Musician Magazine's Best Unsigned Artist award for her original song "Dead Town."
