Album Notes

Barry Bowers grew up in the Reno, Nevada area and attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where he earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music. He has played in symphony orchestras in Reno and Las Vegas, and in orchestras accompanying many prominent entertainers, including Elton John, Billy Joel, Wynonna, Kenny Rogers and others. Barry now resides in Las Vegas and concentrates on writing, playing, and recording arrangements of Christian music for new instruments, 6 and 7-string electric violins, which allows him to play in the ranges of a violin, viola, cello, and bass. His new album "Thoughts Of Praise" and his first album "Think On These Things" are results of that work. Barry has played in worship teams in Reno and Las Vegas, and has been a guest musician at many churches in the U.S. and Brazil. Barry is married to Sonja de Melo Bowers, a Brazilian missionary, counselor and singer. Barry and his wife Sonja are also the U.S. representatives for Happy Child Mission, a Christian organization that ministers to street children in Brazil.
