Album Notes

If you are discovering Barry's music for the first time, don't start with this CD!

Instead we suggest "Teachers Favorites," "Family Trip," "Old Dogs, New Tricks" or "A Little Different."

This CD originally came out in 1977 and is for dedicated fans only - those people who grew up on this recording. The songs are edgy and some of the references are dated. Barry says he only knew four guitar chords when he recorded this album and only used three of them on the record because he didn't want to show off. We think it's off-the-wall and Barry thinks it's off-key.

My Brother Thinks He's a Banana

I must have listened to this album 1000 times when I was a kid. It entertained me endlessly.... I hadn't thought of it in years until I saw "Juno". When "All I want is You" started playing, I bust into tears- it was like being 6 all over again. What nostalgia! Anyway, I was so happy to find the album on CD, ordered it and immediately played it for my husband on a long car ride. Now we both sing along and he loves it as much as I do. We can't wait to have kids. Thanks Barry- out of tune or not, this album is one of the best I have (even at 33).

I'm one of those people who grew up with this music; a friend of mine had it on vinyl when I was 10 and I've missed it. Glad to see its still around...

Loved it then, love it now, so does my daughter.

I've been looking for it for years, singing what I remember to my 5 year old daughter. Finding it was awesome and she has so much fun playing and listening to the songs. My twin was happy to get it too- so now we'll both be sharing it with our kids. How fun to listen to these silly songs and laugh.

Some of the most fun kid's songs ever written

My children listened to this when it originally came out in the 70's. Now I'm buying the CD for my grandchildren. Great songs that still can make children (and their parents)laugh.
