The Bashful are what happened when Sam Shaber, frontwoman of LA indiepop band the happy problem, came together with Stan Blackett of Brooklyn's rock-infused Stray Volts to join forces. The Bashful combine rock, grunge, groove, disco, and pop to create something that is dark but danceable, cynical but optimistic, and all a serious party. It's Radical Dance Rock, seasoned with a dash of The '80s and whole lot of new.
