This is BASHO & friends' long-awaited first album in English! It is a block party of fun with styles ranging from old school hip hop hooks and dance beats to jazzy lullabies. Think Mr. Rogers meets the Beastie Boys! Parents love it and kids are addicted because it's all about good times and dancing on Fun Street!

Over the past two years, BASHO & friends has had great success helping kids learn foreign languages through music in Spanish, French and Mandarin. Basho's eclectic mix of musical genres to celebrate familiar topics like food, family, animals, colors, nature, school, and feelings, connects with kids both musically and emotionally - and the hooks are so catchy you won't be able to stop singing them. This, their first album in English, celebrates all the beauty of being young, optimistic, open and excited, inviting listeners to go big at a block party on Fun Street. Together you'll be singing along to the country twang of Just for Fun and getting your dance on with Shake It All About. Great for preschool to high school - these hooks will leave parents head bobbing and tapping the steering wheel even after the kids have been dropped off at school!

BASHO & friends is led by Basho Mosko, a 2-decade veteran of global education and media who has delivered music CD’s and videos in Mandarin, French, English, and Spanish, and will deliver an interactive iPad application in September 2011. Whether it be music, videos, stories, interactive games, or live shows, BASHO & friends aims to meet kids with high quality, captivating, educational and charming content that helps them connect with the world around them.
