Diverse arse kickin' music

The Bastard Suns rock it. They cover the thrash celtic, punk, ska, reggae, and rap genres effortlessly- sometimes all in the same tune. Some reviewers lament a lack of focused sound when a band has a diverse vibe, but I think it is great. Celina, Hold Fast, SBMT and the Dire Straits cover are highlights. It is a rarity to have vocals this good in a band with punk leanings... Come to Chapel Hill, NC and I promise to get the word out!

The Suns Shine On This Album!

This is one of those albums that really grows on you. It was great the first listen but it just gets better and better with each listen. The vocals are rich, the guitar is incredible, especially some of the solos, and the bass and drums provide a very solid and powerful rhythm line. Lyrics can be a little cheesy at times but they do add some quirkiness to the band. I believe The Bastard Suns have a shining future and I really look forward to hearing what they come up with in the future.
