Album Notes

THE BASTARD SUNS THE BASTARD SUNS THE BASTARD SUNS
The Bastard Suns are a six-piece group from North Atlanta who perform original music comprised mostly of reggae-infused punk rock, often mixed with Irish drinking music. The Suns bring a high energy live show that is popular with both sexes and most age groups. All of the band members are well into their 20's and all are extremely dedicated to their art.

In only a few short years The Bastard Suns have released a full length album, released a subsequent three-song demo, and independently toured much of the Southeastern United States. The Suns have participated in the showcase at the Atlantis Music Festival, competed and advanced to the national semi-finals in both the Bodog Battle of the Bands and The Emergenza Music Festival, and competed in and won first place in the Audition Atlanta 2007 contest. The band was recently signed to an independent record label, Unable Records (Jacksonville, FL), and released its first album on that label in December 2007. That record, Dropping Expectations, a split album with No Fuego (Baton Rouge, LA), was released to strong pre-sales and favorable reviews. Other future plans for The Bastard Suns include embarking on a regular southeast tour schedule by early 2008 and promoting the new release.

NO FUEGO NO FUEGO NO FUEGO NO FUEGO NO FUEGO
In the soul of southern Louisiana lives a band that's full of heart. Since early 2005, No Fuego have been establishing themselves as a formidable force in the Baton Rouge music scene, with local shows that formulate a striking vibe in any venue they play in. Remy, Shawn, Greg and Ty present an impressive fusion of punk rock. Add Marshall and his bagpipes into the mix, and this band becomes extraordinary. With influences ranging from Hot Water Music, Rancid, Saves The Day, and Dropkick Murphy's, to Gordan Duncan and the rockabilly and punk rock styles, No Fuego was built upon a solid foundation of outstanding music.

Grounded by positive attitudes and a down to earth character, No Fuego simply wants to have a great time playing music. After recording an EP encompassing songs of life, love, growing older, having fun, moving on, and the events surrounding Hurricane Katrina, this band is "doing what they know" and "wouldn't have it any other way.” Close friends and family, and their love of whiskey, keeps this band well grounded but also allows them to reach out for much more. The Celtic Society of Louisiana has been a major supporter of the band by providing unconditional loyalty, and the most important haven for any band, a practice room. Bringing Celtic culture into the music only adds to the unique sound these guys present.

No Fuego self-released a full length album in early 2007, and shortly thereafter signed to independent record label, Unable Records (Jacksonville, FL). In December 2007 “Dropping Expectations”, a split album with The Bastard Suns (Atlanta, GA), was released on Unable Records to favorable reviews and strong pre-sales. They have toured much of the Southeastern United States and are hoping to see the rest of the country very soon, taking over each state, one drink, and one song at a time.
