Small Time Big Town
author: Gerry Pollak
Wow. Shawn Colvin meets Lucinda Williams. Wonderful imagery, great alto, + lots of minor keys and chords. All songs are wonderful. A few of them might even be better (if that's possible) with a backing band. Keep the faith!

Beautiful!
author: Oldrik Scholz
This is really something, folks! Lisa Bastoni's record is the closest you can get to someone sitting right in front of you introducing a couple of new tunes, just singing and playing guitar - and they're all really beautiful! Get this CD and I promise you, you'll treasure it.

Finally
author: Dave
I first saw Lisa at the old Kendall Cafe in Boston. I qucikly became a big fan, and was disappointed when I moved to NY and wouldn't be able to see her perform on a regular basis (although I did get to see her perform in CT). So, I had been waiting dutifully for her followup work to "Your First Sweetheart" and wasn't disappointed. Lisa continues her perefct style of stripped down music and detailed rich lyrics. Her voice is the perfect companion to her guitar style, and "Small Time, Big Town" has become my anthem for living in New York, while missing the small town of Massachusetts from where I came.
Buy this CD. You'll fall in love with it the first time you play it.

This is a lovely set of folk songs, sung in a charming, unaffected voice by someone with some thoughtful songs to sing. My only complaint is that it deserves a better package than the paper slip-case without sleeve notes. More! more! (sounds of applause and audience appreciation)
