Tony Bataska was born in Chicago and has since lived all over the States. He currently resides in Northern California and plays many shows in the Sacramento and Bay Areas. He continues to work on new songs and push himself to play great live shows. Musically, he played piano for three years early in life and got his first bass guitar in eighth grade. Eventually he got his hands on an old classical acoustic guitar and taught himself how to play. He played in a band in high school, and briefly in college as well. Right after college, a broken-hearted Tony decided to start writing songs- and they began spilling out. Armed with a plethora of songs, an acoustic guitar, and the resolve to never quit, Tony has already played shows all over California and Chicago. And he continues on...
Here are some things Tony has accomplished recently:
- Released first album, "Tonight I Confess," early in 2006.
- Opened for Matt Costa at Harlow's in Sacramento (12/7/05). Matt regularly opens for Jack Johnson and is also playing at the Coachella Music Festival this year.
- Played at the Cubby Bear in Chicago. In 2005, the Cubby Bear was named Maxim Magazine's #1 bar in Chicago.
- Has played with/opened for many emerging artists including: American Karma, Honeyspot, Tryte, Amber Rubarth, Last Conservative, Call Me Ishmael, San Similar, Push to Talk, Joel Ackerson, Erik Wayne, Emily Adams Band, and many others.

Wow! I must say I was impressed. The sounds are unique and refreshing. I use the CD to cool down the aerobics classes I teach and everyone loves Tony's music! Great CD!

I don't need 10 words - it's AWESOME.

I never new I liked the harmonica so much in this type of music. It's got a Jackie Green sorta feel with a little John Mayer mixed in, but whatever you call it, it's damn good. This CD is awesome, I particularly like "Love for Me" and "Perfect For Me." Also, "Last Train," I've always liked the beat and never listened to the words, but they're so true (everyone can relate at some point). Good stuff, keep it up!
