Album Notes

"The Time is Magic", is the follow up album to "Trouble" (released on Planet Records)

This album rocks hard, but has some twists and turns that gives a nod to progressive rock.
Add in some real solid swinging grooves, acoustic guitars and 3 part harmony, and it ends up being all over the map.
It's one of those types of albums that are designed for you to listen from beginning to end.
It takes you on a mental trip, and it really flows.

The idea of Time being Magic, is really key here.... so much of the lyric content delves into moments of time that have a special meaning, sometimes sad, sometimes wonderful.

BatsBrew is Rob Gilliland's project. Rob toured for years, and developed a strong identity on guitar and vocals.
He writes all the material, and arranges and produces it; sings and plays all the instruments, and does all the drum programming, except on "Speak To Me", where his buddy Chrispy McVey gave a unique treatment to the backing tracks, using loops created in Nuendo to create the odd sound effects and grooving bass line;
and Brent Dacus is featured on drums on the song "Allan's Resolve". Awesome drums, totally in the pocket. inspired.

If you like really nice sounding and nicely played guitars, check this one out. Great singing too. "Twiilight Rain" is a highlight.
