Jon Seymour is a physician, programmer, and entrepreneur. He's developed a unique sound influenced by 80s New Wave icons like The Cars, R.E.M., and The Police, along with diverse alt-rock acts like Genesis, Rush, Oasis, and Cake, but crafted entirely in the electronic realm with elements suggesting post-rock and big beat groups like Stereolab, The Chemical Brothers, and The Crystal Method. His first band, On Call, opened for Kansas and played with Sister Hazel, and his second, The Smokin' Havanas, had a long run in Tampa. Jon's love of synths, starting with a classic DX7-II and continuing unabated to today's software powerhouses like Logic Pro and Melodyne Studio, has provided him the drive and ability to create something new.
"Right from the intro drum beat sample, I knew I was in for something special...This is the kind of dance/electronica song I really like. A full on techno onslaught musically, but with the kind of cool lyric content full of fresh and clever imagery, language, & details that give you something to think about as well as dance or listen to sonically...
"A very electronic, modern idea for modern times...There is no weak link in the fence here. You have a strong music craft foundation with catchy chorus payoff and excellent lyrics, enhanced by the arrangement of it and the production flourishes for the final maraschino cherry on the electronica cake...a lot of people will be at dance clubs chanting 'Crash' everytime it comes around!"
