Album Notes

The Harpsichord used for this CD is a Single manual German harpsichord inspired by one of J.S Bach’s own instruments in the ‘ Bachhaus’ Eisenach, built by Joop Klinkhamer in 1994, Amsterdam.

On the lid of the harpsichord is written in gold:
“Il Creatore e’l Tutto e l’Uno io Canto” (I sing about the creator the all and the one).

The songs with the harpsichord were chosen for their beauty and timeless quality to appeal. They are unique because they are a “duet” between voice and harpsichord.

The solo harpsichord pieces were selected as examples of the earliest English and Dutch harpsichord music of the 16th and 17th century.
