Band bio:
2004: Band formed in Oslo, Norway by guitarist/singer/songwriter Håvard Bævre, bassist Heine Aardalen, and drummer Gaute Neby. Demo recordings (one song on national radio), many concerts played in Oslo. A growing crowd and a lot greater response than the band would expect their mellow songs to get.

2005: Saxophone virtuoso Kjetil Raustøl joins the band. Baunen play at Oslo Jazzfestival and a number of other festivals and club venues in and outside of Oslo. More songs played on the radio, also abroad (USA).

2006: Keyboardist Bjørn Viggo Andersen joins the band. New recordings started (later to become “Word of Wisdom EP”). Baunen play in bigger and better clubs, as well as on the second biggest festival in Norway, Øyafestivalen, featuring artists like Beck and Morrisey. Two shows this year get great newspaper reviews, as well as good reviews on the web.

2007: “Word of Wisdom EP” released March 2007. Release concert sold out, so is the next-day gig in Håvard’s hometown Gjøvik.
