Album Notes

Brian Baker has been teaching and performing for the last 7 years.
He has performed with numerous groups from the Maritimes such as The Hill Brothers, Ryan Cook, Mark Cameron, and JD Clarke. Brian has gone to Nashville twice to play at the Chet Atkins guitar convention, CMA Fanfare festival, and has performed at the ECMAs for the past 5 consecutive years.

“Local Weather” was released in May 2010. This is Brian’s first solo guitar album which features original works and arrangements of finger style guitar standards by his 3 major influences: Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed and Lenny Breau. The album also features well respected Nova Scotia musicians such as Jim Ralph, Jordi Comstock and George Barkhouse.
