Bruce Dale Betz has a winner with his second album "Emotional Express Lane". Story songs about the feelings of growing up in a broken home, and about becoming a father. He uses voice, acoustic guitar, and harmonica in the style of Dylan. And in what he calls modern urban folk, songs that portray todays issues, like Indian casinos and life in Suburbia Land. These songs are a poets take on life then and now. Some of the topics will hit close to home. So if you like listening to a good book, and are not afraid to feel something, pour your self a cup of coffee and go for a ride on an "Emotional Express Lane".
and i believe this album does just that.
"slow down and just listen , the words can take you on an emotional express lane."

Great music, great guy!
author: Anthony and Christy
We had a chance to catch his show at the San Diego County Fair this year(2007). He was just as amazing as he was last year. He plays his music with all of the heart and passion in the world. We also spoke with him again before his performance. He 's as kind and sweet as he was last year. In short: great music, great guy.

We were walking in the garden area of the San Diego county fair when his music caught our ear. We sat down and listened to one of the most passionate singers we'd ever heard, so we bought his cd. All we have to say is that the cd is well underpriced. We also had the pleasure of meeting him after his show. It's a great cd and he's one of the most genuen people in the music industry.

Touching, emotionally raw music
author: Cody
I bought this CD after hearing him perform live at the Del Mar Fair in 2005 and I was not dissapointed. While this is not a genre of music I listen to much (most of my music is grunge, alternative, metal, industrial, or gothic), Betz's emotional intensity and innate talent tranceds his folk genre and makes this CD one that many will enjoy. This CD is not for those who like a slick, overproduced sound presented by a trendy pop star, rather this is raw, touching 'everyman' music created by a talented man who is not trying to become 'the next big thing.'
Check it out; you won't be dissapointed.

This album showcases a real & honest songwriter with well written lyrics and a great voice. I bought this album and listened to it four times in a row! Since then, it has remained very close to my CD player, for those times when I need a dose of REAL music. Buy it, you'll love it!
