But any way you look at it, any fan of folk music should give this one a whirl.

He very well might be Ireland's James Taylor or David Wilcox. This is an outstanding modern, adult folk album with an Irish heart and a wild, wistful spirit as vast and raw as the hills of Connemara. From goosebumpy ballads to upbeat, jangly and witty numbers, slightly touched by folk blues, his approach is one with an accessibility of coffeehouse singer/songwriters yet those with country music in their veins will also find plenty to cozy up to (there's the faintest hint of Willie Nelson in a few spots). But any way you look at it, any fan of folk music should give this one a whirl.
