Album Notes

Brian Quezada (Be-1) was born in Hollywood and raised in South Central. His earliest memories involve him writing poetry. He later joined a spoken word group known simply as Street Poets. His work with them was published in the book 'One Street' and can be downloaded at www.dreamyardla.org. With influences like Notorious BIG, Rakim and Heru Ptah, he began rapping at the age of 11. As fate would have it, Be-1 met Edwin Morales (Massive Flow), now owner and executive producer of a group they had dreamed of putting together since 7th grade, the Last Few Artists (LFA).
After having joined and left various music groups, Be-1 has now gone solo under the Last Few Artists label. He hopes to get signed by a record company, but is content with making a name for himself in the underground market. Musician Joe Knox has produced every track on Be-1's album “One Night at the Coffee Shop”. He will also be producing upcoming projects for Last Few Artists.
Apart from his musical and literary talents, Be-1 also has experience in the world of theatre. A graduate of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, he majored in Theatre and was honored for his acting talents at the top of his class. He is currently writing a play with other theatre grads from LACHSA, and has prospects of writing a book.
