After being the lead guitar player for Eric Quincy Tate (the forgotten great band from Macon, GA) in the seventies, and playing guitar in the David Allan Coe Band, in the eighties, Wayne Sauls is back with a great, great, blues-rock album.
This album covers different styles of blues-rock music, from chicago style Big legged woman, to texan style Don't come around here, reminding ZZTOP. One of the most beautiful songs on the album is for sure the great It's up to you, with a construction reminding Melissa (Allman Brothers Band), with Steven Hawkins on vocals, sounding real close to Gregg Allman.
If you never heard about Eric Quincy Tate, you can discover what was this band on stage, with the song " Half ain't been told". Let's note Paul Hornsby on Hammond B-3 organ. Dominique Turgot

Wayne Sauls & The Bear Facts Band
(Alternative Urban/Atlanta Music Group)
Wayne "Bear" Sauls, best known as guitarist for the unsung heroes of Southern Rock, Eric Quincy Tate, is an awesome force in the world of blues-rock. His powerful and heartfelt vocals coupled with some good ol' blues guitar make for a highly listenable album of twelve tunes that run the gamut from the blues standard "Big Legged Woman" to a killer pop song "It's Up to You." It is a compilation of some of Bear's very best tunes, with Steven Hawkins on drums, Kirk Plunkett on bass and Southern Rock guru Paul Hornsby at the B-3. Many of Bear's old EQT bandmates put in appearances, helping to make this one required listening for the connoisseur of blues or Southern Rock.

Essential Blues & Southern Rock.
author: Willie Johnson / Blues News 'n' Review
This new album by Wayne Sauls and company rocks the Blues. The album is a cross-blend of Bear's masterful heartfelt guitar work and the gripping emotions conveyed by the dynamic soulful vocals of Steven 'Fatdawg' Hawkins. From Sauls hot original shuffle number, 'Hand In The Pocket', to the sound of the Capricorn Records days of Hawkins' high-light tune, 'It's Up To You', (the Allman Brothers should cover), to the well lyrically crafted Country/Blues/Rock tune by Hannon/Hawkins, 'Three Quarter Moon', the album takes you on a tour of Southern influenced music, uncharacteristic of most current day Blues albums. Jams to arrangements, Blues to Rock, this album by Wayne Sauls & The Bear Facts Band, with Steven 'Fatdawg' Hawkins, is essential to all Blues and Southern music collections. -Willie Johnson/Blues News 'N' Review
