The Beat Cowboys are hard to define. Some folks think the band is miscatagorized as a Country act, and while the Beat Cowboys hold their own alongside the heaviest of groups with their energetic live show and airplay, they find their roots in the Country world. Although the bands earthy, crunch driven sound has led to the unexpected crossover of the Beat Cowboys to mainstream rock and roll, they still retain the essence of the Mesilla Valley, New Mexico / Texas, the bands home.

You Can't Beat Them!

the country influence is there, but as you would
expect from a group that opens with a cover of
the Standell's Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White, they cover alot of ground, musically
speaking, from a chunky guitar Rolling Stones
flavored sound to a Southern Rock flow that brings
The Marshall Tucker Band to mind,throw in some 60's garage punk rock and you can't really pigeon
hole these fellers, but there's no need to
categorize them, just enjoy the music.
