Album Notes

"TheSongOfTheDay.com - One band. One year. 365 songs."

August, 2007. The dog days of summer are here and Beatnik Turtle is comfortably air conditioned in the studio making more songs to continue their challenge to release 365 songs in one year.

August contains 31 more tracks that would make up 1/12 of Beatnik Turtle's output for 2007. With 365 slots to fill up, Beatnik Turtle cranked the creativity knob to "11" and filled the month with geek pop-rock goodness covering everything from office interns ("What We Need Is Some Interns In Here") to beer ("Speaking Of Beer") and everything in between.

More highlights from August include:

"On Her Blog" - a musical lesson that teaches the importance about not posting too many personal details of one's life on a blog.

"Douchebag Brigade" - a march that highlights the blatant douchebaggery that takes place on internet forums, chats, and blogs everywhere.

"That's What She Said" - a pop song that advises that when she says "let's just be friends", you should just say "goodbye."

"Don't Eat The Special Of The Day" - a folksy warning about listening to what the cook says.

"I'm Sorry That The Warp Gate Sucked Away Our Son" - the trippy psychedelic song that tells of a scientific experiment gone wrong - and of the poor husband that must explain what really happened to their son Billy to his wife.

And many, many more.

Collect all 12 albums and enjoy Beatnik Turtle's amazingly rich and creative year of song-writing.
