Album Notes

"TheSongOfTheDay.com - One band. One year. 365 songs."

December, 2007. Sleigh bells ring, decorations appear, and cash registers ring with yuletide cheer. But Beatnik Turtle spends the season in the studio in a mad rush to the finish line, successfully completing their challenge to release 365 songs in one year.

December contains the final 31 tracks that would complete Beatnik Turtle's output for 2007. With 365 slots filled up, Beatnik Turtle cranked the creativity knob to "11" and filled the month with geek pop-rock goodness covering everything from machines enslaving humans ("When Machines Take Over The World (It's Scary When The Urinals Flush By Themselves)") to Santa Claus' true feelings ("Santa Doesn't Like You") and everything in between.

More highlights from December include:

"It's Raining In December" - the 70s inspired radio pop song about a breakup in the rain.

"Coed Naked Drunk Xmas Shopping" - an anthem to the latest craze in Xmas shopping.

"Company Christmas Party" - a song that goes behind the scenes to reveal the torrid events of the traditional company festivity.

"Two Christmases" - the bittersweet song of a kid whose parents have split up and works the situation to his advantage.

"Ms. Nutcracker-Sweet" - a Broadway musical number about a "lady" who knows how to get what she wants from her men.

And many, many more.

December also contains the song that closed the year, "So Long, Goodbye" which bade farewell to a full year's worth of daily songs and listeners.

Collect all 12 albums and enjoy Beatnik Turtle's amazingly rich and creative year of song-writing.
