Gerry Beaudoin is an award winning jazz guitarist, arranger and producer. A "guitarists guitarist", Gerry has performed and recorded with a host of jazz and blues luminaires including saxophonists, Eddie" Cleanhead" Vinson, leader of the Artie Shaw Band, Dick Johnson, Fred Lipsius, Grammy winning saxophonist, arranger and founding member of the seminal jazz rock group Blood Sweat and Tears, and Rich latyielle and Doug James from America's favorite jump , blues band Roomful Of Blues, Kansas City blues and jazz piano legend Jay McShann, mandolin titan David Grisman, featured on this recording), and harmonica virtuoso Jerry Portnoy from the Eric Clapton and Muddy Waters bands. Gerry has performed and recorded with the cream of the crop of jazz guitar including jazz guitar legend Bucky Pizzarelli and his son John Pizzarelli, Howard Alden, Frank Vignola, Jimo Bruno, Andy Summers from the rock group the Police, and Jack Wilkins. A frequent performing and recording partner with rock superstar guitarist J.Geils from the J.Geils Band and blues icon Duke Robillard, Gerry founded the jazz guitar group New Guitar Summit which features Gerry, Jay, Duke and Howard Alden performing a history of jazz and blues guitar. In a distinguished career Gerry has been awarded music industry awards including a 1992 NAIRD award for best jazz recording, two Cadence jazz magazine Editors Choice awards, and been placed on the Grammy Awards ballot twice in his career. His beautiful, unique and expressive voice on guitar has thrilled audiences across the USA and Canada and has graced over forty recordings and three DVD's.
