Album Notes

We came up with the idea to record this record the old-fashioned way; with one microphone, live, with no editing or fiddling done to the recordings. Most of the songs were done in one take with very little or no rehearsing, so the mistakes and foul-ups are there and numerous. Most of the material covered are old traditional songs (white spirituals, northeast folk songs, bluegrass, and early delta blues).

Our mission is to help revive and increase exposure to these styles of music - plus we love these here songs! We sat in a living room once a week for bout' a year and hence: The Living Room Sessions Volume 1 were created. We sincerely hope you enjoy these here recordings as much as we enjoyed making them.
