Album Notes

Formally with the Band 'Southern Wings' based in North Carolina, The BECKs are best known to their fans for their ability to create a musical environment that lets folks walk out happier than when they arrived. Their newest Album 'Something Rare' is beautifully mixed to create the same sound and ambience heard in their 'live' performances.

Both Scott and Vickie agree that classic love songs are their specialty probably because they require no additional mood preparation. A deep sense of connection to each other and with their audiences just naturally bubbles over into their work. The BECKs write, arrange and perform a variety of styles, from classic pop, folk, country and even show tunes...to a rich array of original music.

With Scott on guitar and percussion and Vickie on keyboard, bass, flute and harmonica, their soaring vocals remind audiences of what's possible when you've been perfecting your craft together for over 30 years. Scott's renditions of Eric Clapton's and Roy Orbison's classics are breathtaking and Vickie's ability to cover the songs of Ann Murray, Mary Chapen Carpenter, Shania Twain or Karen Carpenter (to name just a few), bring audiences off their seats.

The BECKs especially enjoy performing at events where something important is going on...like an anniversary, dance or special celebration, or a fundraiser for one of the many charities they support. The best way to keep up with The BECKs, or to contact them directly, is through their website at: www.becksmusic.net . Happy Listening!
