The intimacy of this 2002 release may be a reflection of how it was recorded. With the exception of Armen Ksajikian's cello performance on "I've Missed," Sean Caffey's pedal steel on "I Can't Stop Loving You", Cowgirl Blues was composed, performed and produced by Becky alone in her studio - with special thanks to Joey Waronker.

Call it 'modern country' or 'contemporary country' or 'country rock', the name doesn't matter.  What counts is the music you hear and the talent that gives you the music.  So, just call it GREAT STUFF!  It's hard, very hard, to pick just one as a favorite, but the first track, "I Can't Stop Loving You" just blew me away.  I thought it was going to be a cover of the old country standard that's been done by so many singers.  But NO!  This is an entirely original song, written by Becky, and it is SOOooo GOOoood!!!  You will enjoy every track on this album and, like me, wish for more.  Extra points for having written all the songs herself.  I just love singer/songwriters.  Way to go girl!!
