Album Notes

“…through her act I get the sense that Becky’s reaching for empathy, but I think she tries to give that back in return. Her material is bawdy and dynamic. At the same time she tries, or at least gives the appearance, to maintain sensitivity. She seems to enter each new taboo delicately, with a symbolic gentle clearing of her throat, 'Not quite sure how to say this,' whispering 'Excuse me', then tires of the bullshit and kicks in the door with a sawed off shotgun screaming. I don't think she’s looking to change the world, but instead, talks to her audience like she does to her friends over drinks. Becky is a comic who has found her voice and leaves nothing to the imagination.” - the comedians magazine

Becky has appeared on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Shorties Watching Shorties, and A&E’s 15 Films about Madonna. She is also a Fashion Police writer for US Weekly & Life & Style magazine.

A Broad With Class
author: Livia Scott
Nobody does it better than Becky Donohue. What you want in a comedy experience is exactly what she delivers in this CD: fun, intelligence, originality, and most importantly, LAUGHS. ALWAYS. I am blown away that anyone can posses the combination of skills that she has. Charismatic in the way that only truly gifted people are who have found their niche, Becky Donohue is the Michael Jordan of stand up - slam dunking and dribbling passed pretty much everyone else with her unstoppable wit, bad-ass ingenuity, and fierce love for the audience. She is a broad with class, and a comedy star of the first order.

Fantastic comedy from a ballsy broad.
author: Carolyn Castiglia
Given the fact that you can hear my laugh on almost every track of this album I'd have to say it's comedy bravery at its finest. As a young mother, "Arthur" gets me every time. My only hope is that Becky puts out another CD shortly so as to share her "Dead Friend T-Shirt" joke with the world.

Genuflect to this Comedy God
author: Matthew Gallagher
This CD offering from Ms. Donohue is a collection of rants and observations that are much more intelligent and honestly delivered than any other CD I have found. She is funny, bright and honest and that is the Holy Trinity of Stand-Up.

Becky is the opposite of bad.
author: Eric
This is the funniest person I have ever heard in my entire life. I don't know what she eats, but I wouldn't be surprised if she shits salad, because the core of soul emits so much humor, that all impurities in her body vanish. She has truly brought my being to a higher state spiritually, emotionally, and physically. This is some of the funniest stuff ever captured on a sound recording.
