Becky Hobbs, born and raised in the Cherokee Nation, Oklahoma, is fifth-great granddaughter to Nancy Ward, Beloved Woman of the Cherokee. She started writing songs at nine years of age, is credited with starting the first documented all-female rock band in the state of Oklahoma, and has made her living writing, recording and performing her songs all over the world. She's written songs for Conway Twitty, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Glenn Campbell, Emmylou Harris, Shirley Bassey, Helen Reddy, Moe Bandy, Janie Fricke, Lacy J. Dalton, John Anderson, and superstar group, Alabama (including the classic "Angels Among Us"). Becky lives in Nashville, TN, with her husband, guitarist and producer, Duane Sciacqua. She is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.
