Album Notes

Becky Maag grew up in the small town of Spring Creek, Nevada. Throughout her childhood and youth she enjoyed the outdoors, camping, dirt bikes, hunting, drawing, hanging out with friends, and of course, singing and playing guitar. Becky’s whole life was involved in music, beginning voice and piano lessons at 8 years old and then began teaching herself the guitar at 13, when she found her passion for songwriting. She also spent much of her youth performing in competitions and choirs statewide, where she came to earn much of her recognition and which further inspired her to pursue her music.

The album “Arms to Find”, released in 2007, is a collection of folk-rock songs all written by Becky Maag. Her inspiration to music and lyric writing was given not only through her own personal experiences, but through listening to the styles of artists such as Jack Johnson, Ben Kweller, Ben Folds, and The Shins. “Arms to Find” has a refreshing new sound that captures the thoughts and emotions of everyday life in a way that will leave you feeling both inspired and revived.
