Beep! is a musical collective comprised of pianist Michael Coleman, bassist Nate Brenner and drummer Sam Ospovat. Their music is based on concepts of group interplay, free improvisation, original composition and orchestration in a piano trio setting. While rooted in the jazz tradition, the trio's compositions fuse rock, folk, jazz and classical music to create their own unique and energetic sound. Based in Oakland, CA, Beep! performs locally as well as touring nationally and internationally. They just returned from a CD release tour of New York, Paris, Brussels and Berlin and are planning their next tour for Spring 2010. Their second CD, "You are Special, You are a Special Friend" features 12 original compositions and free improvisations. They plan to record their third CD this fall.
