BEGGARS BALL IS BASED IN HOLLYWOOD, CA. A PLACE WHERE THEY FIND NOTHING IN COMMON WITH THEIR PEERS. THIS IS A BAND THAT PLAYS STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART. THEIR MUSIC IS NOT FILTERED THROUGH ANY TRENDS OR COMPROMISED TO FIT IN WITH ANY MUSIC SCENE. THE BAND'S ORIGINAL SOUND IS DERIVED MAINLY FROM HARD ROCK, SOUTHERN ROCK, AND METAL. ALTHOUGH, ELEMENTS OF PLENTY OTHER GENRES SNEAK THE WAY INTO THEIR SOUND TO ENSURE A FRESH BLEND AND A TASTY GROOVE. FORMED BY GUITARIST EDDIE BRNABIC, VOCALIST D.K. REVELLE, AND DRUMMER JAANUS SALM (BASSIST TBA) HAVE COME TOGETHER TO CREATE A MUSICAL BOND TO BE RECKONED WITH. THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE 3 MEMBERS IS UNDENIABLE AND UNMATCHED BY ANY ROCK N' ROLL BAND IN RECENT HISTORY. FOR A GENERATION THAT HAS BEEN FED NOTHING BUT COOKIE CUTTER BULLSHIT MUSIC, A BAND LIKE BEGGARS BALL WILL BE A WELL NEEDED BREATH OF FRESH AIR. TODAY'S YOUTH WOULDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT A GOOD ROCK N' ROLL BAND IS, UNLESS THEY'VE DISCOVERED ONE FROM A DAY WHEN THEY WERE STILL POPULAR. MAJOR LABELS HAVE BEEN SELLING POLISHED TURDS TO THE KIDS FOR SO LONG THAT THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. GIVEN THE CHANCE, BEGGARS BALL WILL CLEARLY REMIND PEOPLE THAT THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOOD MUSIC AND A PIECE OF SHIT WITH SOME POLISH ON IT.

"Rolling down the heavy highway today is Beggars Ball. "Fight this Town" is the latest release...and it's cocked and loaded. The sounds smashed me like a rolling train. Great riffs, roller coaster arrangements and tasty leads make this one a definite must have. The merging of sounds and ideas are obvious and certainly distinct. There is a discernable southern rock vibe with a neo-resurrection of great American heavy metal thunder. The real treat was number 7..."American Vocal". After hearing the grinding beauty and mayhem of their previous songs, I began to wonder how they'd sound slowed and tempoed down. American Vocal nailed it. A perfect bluesy/southern round of satire, observation and fun. I have to admit, I'm still a sucker for this kind of sound. There's a piece of this in all of us... Overall, I give 2 thumbs up to Beggars Ball. My head bounced, foot tapped and mind wandered as I experienced their album. The 3 essentials for success in any band. (in my book anyway...)
