In an era of computer generated music where protools wonderboys can build an entire album out of individual notes spliced together but never played together...
In an age where so called musicians can sell you a CD that no human could ever play...
In a world where people hunger for the real thing...
Beggars Canyon brings you an in your face live experience that is recorded as it sounds.
Engineered and mixed by Jeff Kalemba with assistance from the Legendary Frankie Gibson who has lent his engineering and recording expertise to Iron Maiden and the Talking Heads. The golden halo from Piece of Mind glowing in his studio is only one of the three Gold Albums with which he was honored.
Released February 21, 2004 at TGI Fridays in Toms River, NJ, the all-time sales record for the third busiest Fridays in the USA came within $200 of being broken. Of course, had the band had to pay full-price for its own consumption of beer & booze, the all-time record for the busiest Fridays would surely have ended.
You can preview some of the songs now and hear them in full along with the rest when you buy the album. We resisted the temptation to let you preview all of them, because we want to give you some suspense and to have a sense of excitement when the album arrives. If you like the songs that we let you preview, then you will like the rest. We did a good job and have gotten tremendous positive feedback from our hardcore fans, from people in the business, and from total strangers that heard the album for the first time and never saw us play live.
These songs have traveled with us from the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ all the way to the Whisky-A-Go-Go in Los Angeles, CA and points in between. We hope they have the chance to travel with you wherever you go and that you have as much fun listening to them as we do playing them.
You might even find a surprise in the album. We hope you enjoy it...
