"how high you get is always measured by the way you look at life..." thus spake james beige. and just exactly how does james look at life? listen to his music and all will be revealed. so take it easy, easy is the key. grooving in the sunshine, think 60s ipanema. add some tablas - he's open to crossovers, mix n match, hard to pin down, the brazilian beat transmuted onto the world stage. shifting sounds like shifting sand, warm and sensual under bare feet.... individual in an age of clichés, james remains himself. music comes from the heart therefore hard to define. but lets not get too serious. true to the easy/exotica tradition james' music doesn't lack humour (check out his rocking "hawaii beat"). so how do you look at life? how high do you get?
